Not such a happy little vegemite

Image

The week started well with mummy buying me a new necklace.  She said it was a special magical necklace that helps take the pain away when more of my teeth come through. She must have been right because one more tooth came through and I didn’t make a fuss. I now have a total of 7 teeth, four up top and three on the bottom.

All seven teeth

Poor daddy has been sick all weekend. He came home a little earlier on Friday night which was nice for us but sad for daddy as he got straight into bed and mummy had to nurse him back to good health.  He was up and down all night but luckily I sleep very well through the night and he didn’t wake me once.  Mummy on the otherhand looked a little tired when I woke her on Saturday morning.  Poor daddy was still sick but he had to drop something off at work.  He manage to make it there and came straight home again and climbed back into bed.  I have never seen daddy so ill and we did not like it one bit.  Mummy did a good job looking after him but after a while I got very restless, we had been inside all day and although I have lots of toys I have a very short attention span, so it doesn’t take me long to get bored of them, move on to the next toy and then get bored of that one.  I never left mummies side all day and so she decided to take me for a little walk,  Daddy had fallen asleep and we had to go up the road and get some dinner anyway.  There is a great play area at Starbucks so we killed an hour in there.  I met some new babies and tried to play with them and they have lots of new toys this year so there is plenty to do whilst mummy sips on her latte.

Daddy still wasn’t 100% on Sunday so we all stayed in again.  I got very bored very quickly, mummy took me out for a little stroll around the park. Nothing to exciting much to my disappointment, I hope she has lots of fun things planned next week to make up for my boring weekend. Luckily daddy seemed to perk up a bit on Sunday evening, in time to go back to work on Monday.  Poor daddy, he works very hard and I don’t like seeing him 100%. On the brightside, I have been practising standing on my own, I think the longest I have stood with my arms in the air and not resting my belly on anything, was 4 or 5 seconds, a new record!  Mummy and daddy keep talking about me walking on my own, they have shown me plenty of times how to do it and sometimes they try to trick me into walking but I am smarter than them, and I immediately get down low and crawl. I do feel a little bit of pressure to walk, especially before I turn one.  Alot of my friends back in Australia have already taken some steps all by themselves.  I have 2 and a half weeks maybe I will surprise everyone.

Mummy had promised plenty of fun things in store for us this week to make up for our very quiet weekend.  Yesterday we caught the tube to Liverpool Street station and met up with Sarah for a coffee. Sarah is always so happy to see me and I reward her with my best smiles. I sat on her lap for over an hour which is pretty good since I don’t like to sit still for very long.  I am super excited because Sarah has a new friend for me to play with growing in her belly. I was lucky it didn’t kick me when I was sitting on her lap and I was very careful not to lean to much into her belly. On the way home we had to stop in at the shops to get some bread and milk, we walked a different way and  found a really cool park with loads of different swings and some slippery slides.  I had been such a good girl all day so I tried out one really cool swing that was like a huge basket. It was awesome!

Mummy has been very secretive lately and won’t let me on the computer as much as before. She always hides it when I come up to her and see what she is looking at.  I think what ever she is looking had something to do with out little trip today.  We went back to Liverpool street but this time we didn’t see Sarah, we got on another train and went to a place called Romford in Essex.  Usually I like our little adventures but last night I wasn’t feeling well, infact I projectile vomitted all over my teddies and cot. Mummy just thought I had an upset tummy and she gave me lots of cuddles and kissed my belly better.  I went back to sleep and slept through the night and this morning I woke up happy and ate all my brekky, so she assumed she was right about an upset belly and I was all better.  Mummy had to meet a lady and pick some things up but unfortunately when we arrived in Romford I was not well, I was sick all over my cute little outfit. It was a shame as this lady worked at a soft play place called Funky monkey’s and she said we could use the fun place for free.  There was so many new adventures in there and on any other day I would have been clapping with excitement but after being sick I was not interested and mummy didn’t think it would be a good idea for me to play either so we just went home. I slept all the way which was probably a good thing. When we got home I had a temperature and was sick again.  So I am writing this blog from mummy’s bed.  We are cuddling up together and resting.  My temperature has dropped down a bit and I have managed to eat a vegemite sandwich and some water, so you don’t need to worry.  I might have caught a little bit of daddy’s sickness but I think I am on the mend.

Tomorrow we are meant to be starting swimming lessons but mummy said if I am still sick we will have to wait till next week.

Silly mummy lost all the details of our friends back in Australia and their birthday’s so we have to give a group shoutout to all the babies who turned Numero Uno this month.  Happy birthday to Jarrod, Andrew, Peyton, Skyla and Cora. I am sorry we are little bit late with most of these. From what I have seen on facebook it looks like you have all had some cool parties.  Only Jake, myself and Ethan are yet to turn 1 but it’s not long now.

You’ll never walk alone

Firstly I would like to thank everyone who has sent lovely messages about my video.  Mummy and I had fun putting it together and choosing the best bits of the year.  I must say, it was hard to choose all the little bits, mummy takes ALOT of photo’s and video’s of me.  It was really nice to hear everyones comments and see family reposting the video on Facebook. I have had a such an exciting first year and would like to thank everyone who follows my blog.

It has been a busy week for us.  Mummy is meant to be on a budget but I don’t know how she went this week as we went out for 3 lunches! On Tuesday we saw Jo (Pickles or as daddy calls her, Little Jo). We met up in Sloane square and had a lovely lunch at a little french place.  We sat on the longest table I have ever seen, it was HUGE.  Mummy had packed lots of treats for my lunch but I just wanted to eat cheese.  She doesn’t bother with getting the stringers anymore as I love all cheese, just like mummy.  We had a little wonder around the shops but Sloane Square is smack bang in the middle of Chelsea and unless your rich there isn’t a whole lot you can splash your cash on – especially when your on a budget!

On Wednesday we had a quiet day in, mummy really should have updated our blog then, but she can be a little lazy sometimes. Thursday we were meant to go to Rhyme time with some of my heartbeeps friends and mummies but it was cancelled so we went out for lunch instead.  I like going out to lunch with my heartbeeps friends.  William and Charlie are very nice and I think they like me too.  At first I was sitting close to mummy and she was giving me her crusts rom her pizza – my favourite.  Then the mummies moved us kids altogether which was alot more fun.  I sat next to Charlie – his mummy is Australian like my mummy and daddy.  We held hands for a little bit and I invited both of the boys to my birthday party in a couple of weeks.

Lunch with my Boy friends.

That is right, I turn 1 very soon.  I am already counting down the days and mummy is getting busy organising it.  As our little flat is a bit too small for a party so we have reserved an area in the local pub.  We go to this pub for lunch after hartbeeps every week and it is really nice.  They will section off an area and mummy has made plans for two big tables and a play area for the kiddies.  The other fun thing is that she has a theme for my party –  It’s a sweet shoppe theme.  I don’t know who the theme is for because I am not allowed sweets, so I think she thinks this is her first birthday party rather than mine.  She has promised to let me try my birthday cake which is very big for her, she doesn’t let me have any fun food! Pizza crust is my only vice.

Luke came over that Thursday afternoon and he had a surprise for me! It was an early birthday present and I was very happy about it.  He had just got back from Liverpool and he was lucky enough to go to Anfield and buy me my first Liverpool kit. I think G.Dad will be very impressed with my new kit.  Daddy was beaming with proudness when he arrived home and saw me in my gorgeous red outfit.  To be honest I really like it, but I am pretty sure it’s meant for boys and with my short hair I look alot like a little boy rather than a little girl.

We have changed our hartbeeps day to Friday. So on Friday we went to the first session of the term.  It was so much fun and it was great to catch up with all the kids and hear all about their Christmas and new year.  I think I was the most spoilt, but everyone had a visit from Santa.  Kim (the teacher) was really happy to see me back as I always climb all over her and give her lots of smiles.  This term they have changed the theme and have added lots of new songs. We didn’t go to lunch today as mummy had things to do at home and she had already been out twice this week.

Kristy (Kiki – what mummy and Kristy are teaching me) is back from her holidays in Australia.  I was very happy to see her again and hear all about her adventures, back home.  It sounded like she had such a nice time, visiting the beach everyday, driving up to Byron bay and visitng some of our friends on the Gold coast.  She even met Ada (Heidi and Jason’s baby girl).  It was Julien’s first time in Australia, and he likes surfing so I think he had a really good time too. They were very lucky as the weather hasn’t been that nice back in Oz, but it cleared up especially for the three weeks they were there.  We met up in Balham for lunch at another french restaurant called Gazette.  Kristy and Julien go here alot and it’s a new favourite of mine aswell.  They have a nice area for mummies with babies, the tables are chalkboards and Kristy tried to teach me how to write my name however I was more interested in eating the chalk.  Mummy let me try her crepe and it was very tasty, as it had melted cheese in it. After lunch we went back to Kristy’s house to see Julien and hang out for a bit.  It was a really nice day and I was happy to Kiki again, I think my mummy missed her best friend.

Lunch with Kiki, teaching me how to write my name on the table.

Over Christmas we were supposed to visit Robyn and Chris, but sadly Robyn was very sick over Christmas and spent her Christmas in Hospital.  Then everyday we were meant to go down to see her, daddy had to work.  So we finally got a free day on Sunday to drive down to the New forest and visit.  Robyn and Chris have moved into a lovely house right in the country side.  When we arrived we had a little look at the view and I think mummy and daddy wanted to go for a bit of a hike and adventure but they wore the wrong shoes.  Robyn and Chris have mountain bikes so once mummy has her own bike with a seat for me, I think we might visit again for a mountain bike ride, it looked like there were lots of fun tracks around.  Robyn and Chris were very excited to see me and I showed them how well I can get around their house.  I also practised standing on my own with no help from anything or anyone.  I didn’t do too badly but I my bottom is a little tender after falling most of the time. We went out to a pub for lunch and I refused to eat any of it.  Mummy didn’t have any cheese either so I wasn’t the happiest of babies.  Luckily daddy couldn’t eat all his burger and shared his burger bun with me. I had a nice time visiting them and I really like the countryside, so I hope we visit more often, especially when I can walk and own a pair of Wellies (gumboots).

What a week!!

Night at the Museum

Image

We are already a week into the new year and I have been a bit slack with the blogging.  Mummy passes on her apologies as we have had daddy home for a couple of days so instead of spending our time on the computer we have been hanging out with daddy and doing some fun things.  I like having him home with us, he is lots of fun and always makes me laugh.  He pulls silly faces and he plays games with me.  He is the best daddy in the world, I am so lucky.

So whilst he has been home, mummy and I have been showing him what we get up to in the day.  Since our internet has been fixed we don’t spend any time in Starbucks anymore, ok I lie, mummy still gets a coffee on the occasional day but we don’t have to spend hours down there.  So we have more time to explore Chiswick and find new activities and adventures.  Mummy has wanted to take me to the playground up the road  for some time now as she noticed there was a swing set that I would be fairly secure in and thought I would enjoy it.  I used to have a indoor swing when I was born, G Nan and G Dad bought it for me and daddy said it was my favourite toy, I used to fall asleep in it.  Well mummy wasright (as usual), I loved the swing! To top it off daddy was the first one to push me for my first swing ride. Daddy pushed me  on the swing whilst mummy took photo’s.  I loved it! It was so much fun and I wasn’t scared at all, infact I think daddy could have pushed me a little higher.  Unfortunately mummy and daddy didn’t dress as warmly as me, so we didn’t stay too long just long enough for me to decide I like them very much and I hope mummy will take me to the park more often in the future.

Higher daddy, Higher!

Another day daddy had off we decided to walk up to Brentford Leisure Centre and visit Softplay.  I have been a couple of times with my friend Reese and her mummy Natasha, but this was daddy’s first time.  I am not sure who had more fun! I had just woken up from a nap so at first I was a little bit sleepy and didn’t do a lot in the ball pit.  Daddy tried to bury me with all the balls and I just layed there and let him do it.  Then mummy thought it would be a good idea to climb to the top and take me on the slide to liven me up and in another area that I can climb up and around.  She thought it would wake me up a bit, again she was spot on! So we climbed all the way to the top, I even climb the soft stairs on my own (daddy was behind me ready to catch just in case I slipped on a step).  I got to the top and had no problems at all.  At the very top of the Softplay tower there are these giant frogs and a big mushroom, this is my favourite part and I definitely livened up when I saw them.  I quickly crawled around the mushroom to hide from daddy, then he played a chasing game and we went round and round the mushroom a couple of times, I almost caught up with him.  Then we went down the slippery slide and although it was quite steep, I wasn’t scared I laughed the whole way down.  I am a brave little girl.

So I mentioned a surprise the last time I blogged.  Mummy should have unveiled it by now, but I won’t get too mad at her just yet.  She has been working hard on it and unfortunately due to complications with Windows Movie maker, it’s not quite ready.  She had completely finished it and was quite proud of herself (daddy had a private screening and gave it a thumbs up) and as computers are not always the most reliable especially when your working on a project,  our program has done just that, FAIL!  It has decided after we had put everything together, that it doesn’t recognise half of the videos we have added, even though we converted them into a format especially for the windows program…. blah blah blah, sorry about the boring tech talk (I am a daddy’s girl afterall).  So obviously our surprise is not a surprise anymore, it’s a little video of me, but what is you get to see is previously unseen footage of me in 2011.  I hope we can sort it out ASAP becuase the movie mummy has put together is kind of cool.  I hope you don’t mind waiting a little bit longer, it’s worth the wait as mummy has been saving up some great videos especially for this project.

At the moment we have my daddy’s cousin visiting London.  He has been travelling for months now and I am not going to lie, but he looks like he has been backpacking around the world.  Uncle Luke is having an awesome time but has forgotten to bring a razor with him on his travels, so when I saw him for the first time since I was 5 months old, I got quite a shock! His hair is longer and his face is hairy, so it took me a little while to warm up to him but once I did,  I wanted to play with him all night.  He wears these cool wooden bracelets on his wrist and he lets me play with them.  Mummy never lets me play with her jewellery.  Last night Uncle Luke and his friend Damo came over for dinner and to watch the football with daddy and I got to stay up a little later and watch a bit of the football aswell. It was good game and an even better result! Liverpool were the champions with a 5 – 1 result.

Today we met up with the boys in a very strange place.  I am not going to lie to you, I was a scared most of the time.  We visited a very large building in South Kensington called the Natural History Museum and it is filled with giant skeletons and animals.  At first it wasn’t so bad as I was safe with daddy in the baby bjorn.  Daddy makes me feel safe even around those huge giants, which everyone was calling Dinosaurs. There was one dinosaur in particular I didn’t like, the T-Rex.  There was a giant model of his skull including his big sharp teeth and mummy told daddy to put me up near his mouth for a photo. I didn’t mind looking at him from down below in the baby bjorn but as you will see from the photo getting a closer look was the scariest thing I have ever done.

Please don’t not feed the T-Rex

Once I got over that little incident I was quite happy looking at all the other animals.  In the mammals and reptiles area, we saw a life size blue whale and I couldn’t believe my eyes, it was HUGE.  It was about 4 times the size of omi and poppy’s boat, which made me worry, I hope they never run into a blue whale when they go outside in the open waters, he might think their boat is a tic tac.

The HUGE blue whale

Another less scary Dinosaur

I think I hear something coming up behind us

After the museum we walked to Harrods for a quick look.  Uncle Luke didn’t know about Harrods and who owns it until mummy sang the rap that Muhummad Al Fayed sang with Ali G.  She wasn’t very good but I think they knew what she was talking about.  Daddy and the boys were really looking forward to another German Sausage for lunch at Winter Wonderland in Hyde park but unfortunately it was already closed and was getting packed up for the year, so we had sandwiches at Pret instead. Mummy recently bought some outrageously silly boots the other week, she has had this voucher for LK Bennet for 2 years and really want to use it up especially whilst they had a sale on.  She found some nice boots but damn they are high, not the best choice of footwear for a mini tour around London.  We went home after our sandwiches, mummy slowly hobbled home feeling very sorry for herself.

Tomorrow the boys are going to a Chelsea game so it’s a girls day for mummy and I however I think mummy is going to be busy in the kitchen daddy put in a request for the 6 hour pork roast and poor Luke and Damo hasn’t had a home cooked meal in months.  I hope I get some this time!

My First Christmas

Image

What a wonderful weekend and week I have had celebrating my first Christmas.  Mummy and daddy did everything they could to make it special and memorable.

Once I finished blogging on Christmas eve I went to bed so mummy and daddy could enjoy their Christmas Eve feast. I was a such a good girl and stayed asleep until morning and woke up to find heaps of presents under the tree.  Santa must have noticed that I was a good girl all year because he spoilt me. Mummy and daddy also saved a lot of my presents for me to open in the morning so I was a busy girl.  I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw that Santa had left me everything I had asked for. We skyped my nanny Mindy so she could watch me wake up and unwrap my presents and play with my toys, it was nice to see her and daddy’s Aunty Diane. Nanny Mindy bought me a big Blue rocking horse, some blocks and an indoor tent. So far I have played with these the most, mummy pours my blocks out on my mat but I like to keep my play area tidy and put all the blocks back in the bucket they came in. Daddy has put some of my new toys in the indoor tent and I crawl inside and play with them, hiding from mummy and daddy. There are so many toys to mention that mummy made it easy for me and took photo’s of each toy so I can remember forever who got me what.  Thank you to everyone who bought me a present, I am going to be so busy for months now playing with my new toys.  Mummy and daddy promise to take me out tomorrow for a spin on my new smart trike.

Look at all my presents!

Thankyou Cora, Kristy and Clayton for my FairyToadstool cottage. I love it!

Big cuddles for my rocking Caterpillar. Yeehaa!! I was a bit nervous when I first got on, but I love it now! Thank you Nan and G Dad. xx

Thank you Aunty Nicole for my adorable outfit, it is a perfect fit. xx

Baby Annabel and my first French and English driving lesson. Thank you Oma!! I will be able to speak french to mummies friend Kristy.

Daddy cooked up some amazing scrambled eggs and Salmon, and they sipped on pink Champagne for breakfast.  Daddy’s eggs are pretty amazing, they are so fluffy and creamy, I had mine with toast. After I had finished y breakfast and played with my new toys we packed some up and drove over to Angel in North London.  Mummy and daddy’s friends were having an Aussie Oprhan Christmas.  Lots of our Aussie friends weren’t with family this year, so this was the next best thing.  We all bought something that reminded us of home or was a family tradition.  Mummy had made a pavlova from scratch, it turned out pretty good, she also bought some yummy king prawns left over from last night and a bottle of Jagermeister.  It was so much fun! I tried my first prawn- wasn’t really a fan to be honest and I left the Oysters for the adults, they looked very slimy.  I also got to try the yummy roast of Turducken.  What is Turducken I hear you ask?  It’s a bird in a bird in a bird – Turkey stuffed with Duck stuffed with Chicken and lots of yummy stuffing between each layer, it was massive and very delicious. Of course mummy kept a close eye on me when dessert came out because we know how much daddy likes to sneak me the good stuff.  Instead I had a little bit of the fruit from the pavlova, no christmas pud for me this year.

Giddyup horsey!! Thank you Nanny Mindy. xx

My first baby, thank you Oma. xx

Cuddles with JD

Sonders snuck me a cheese biscuit, yummy!

I think someone got my presents mixed up with daddy's secret santa present.

Later in the evening the adults had a game of Evil secret santa.  They were all very loud and it looked like a lot of fun as they could steal each other’s presents.  Mummy was very cheeky and stole Rae’s snuggie, Rae was not impressed.  Luckily when it came to opening my presents no one was allowed to take them from me.  Rae and Sonders bought me a beautiful white christmas bear and Uncle JD bought me a soft rattle toy for my pram.  Mummy and daddy had more surprises for me again in a stocking.  Mummy had hidden some presents from my Aunty Nicole in Germany, she bought two very cute outfits and some warm thick socks that say ‘I love mummy’ and ‘I love daddy’.

More presents!

We managed to get home at a reasonable time but we were exhausted.  Mummy’s pants looked a lot tighter than they were in the morning and daddy looked very tired, as was I.

I had such a wonderful first Christmas, thank you to everyone who bought me a present and wished me a wonderful first Christmas. I missed my family and friends back in Australia but my friends here made my day very special.

Playing with my blocks, thanks you Nanny Mindy. xx

Merry Christmas Eve

Image

Merry Christmas everyone!! In Australia it would already be Christmas day but here in London it’s Christmas Eve and we are already celebrating.

I am not going to go on about what we got up to this week because I am blogging on my favourite day of the year so far (in the first year of my life). Today is Christmas eve and my mummy’s family tradition, being German they celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve.  So it’s good news for us as we get to open presents a little bit earlier and we have a delicious seafood feast, although I didn’t get to try any of it.  Mummy promised she would save me a prawn for tomorrow, I hope she keeps her word, as they looked huge and delicious.

So today mummy and I went grocery shopping and daddy did some last minute Christmas shopping. Mummy and I met up with him afterwards as mummy had pretended that she hadn’t got him anything and so he got to choose out some nice clothes.  Then we came home and wrapped up the last of our presents, our 3ft tree started to look tiny with all the presents around it, it kind of got lost amongst the presents.

Once I was fed and mummy had started to prepare dinner and the cheese platter, daddy cracked open the champagne and we took some family photos and open the first of my presents.  I am so lucky I got a few nice things from mummy and daddy, a bubble machine for bathtime, my favourite book Gruffalo touch and feel book, a wooden shape sorter and a few other bits and pieces.  I also opened a present from Cora – Thank you for my awesome fairy toadstool cottage I kind of lost interest in all my other toys once I opened that.  I also got a beautiful jumpsuit from my Aunty Nicole in Germany and a baby toy doll from Oma.  There are still lots of presents under the tree so I think mummy and daddy could be holding out on me a little bit and waiting for the morning.  Mummy said I have been a very good girl all year so she is pretty certain Santa will visit.  We are leaving some beer, cookies and carrots out for the Aussie Santa and his Reindeer just in case he does come.

Mummy and Daddy did pretty well tonight as well. I bought mummy a lovely mimco wallet and daddy got her a really nice mimco bag.  She was so happy! Daddy did even better, with some shoes from Omi and poppy and clothes from mummy.  But I think he liked his Xbox from me best of all.

This is just the start of my very first Christmas and I think there is plenty more to come, not just in presents but tomorrow we have a huge day planned with the Aussie Christmas Oprhans in London…. a group of aussie friends of mummy and daddy who are getting together to celebrate christmas, none of us have family here and so we decided to all get together and have a chistmas feast. More on that tomorrow…. here are few pics from my first Christmas eve.  I hope you all have had a wonderful and magical night.  Big shout out to all the babies who have their first Christmas this year, you know who you are!

Just chilling out looking cool in Judes jimjams

Only 4 more sleeps till Santa visits and I can’t wait!! Mummy said I have been a very good girl all year so Santa will definitely come to visit.  Mummy on the other hand has been very naughty and hasn’t helped me catch up on my blogging so I don’t think Santa will leave her any presents under the tree.

Last time I blogged I fed Reindeer and I went shopping, well this week (2 weeks ago) was a super busy and interesting week for mummy and I.  As usual the start of the week was fairly quiet, it gives mummy time to do housework and grocery shopping etc. On the Wednesday when I woke up mummy wasn’t in bed like usual.  Daddy got me ready in the morning and packed my bag for the day and we went for a ride in the car.  Daddy said mummy had a big day in Norwich, learning how to take pictures of newborn babies.  She is always on photography websites and looking at newborn pictures, and so she thinks that one day she might like to make some money doing that and still get to spend plenty of time with me.  I think she mostly wants to do it so she can spoil me and buy me all the clothes and toys I want.  I didn’t go to work with daddy though, it’s way to dangerous with all his tools laying about the jobsite.  Hammers, nails and stairs are not really suitable toys for babies my age.  So daddy dropped me off to Jo’s place and I got to have a girly day with Jo and Lucille.  I had so much fun and I was on my best behaviour.

Mummy is trying to catch me and put me in the bath

Mummy got home late and I was already in bed alseep but I woke up when I heard her voice. I missed her and I know she missed me because she gave me the biggest hug ever and well, she told me so.   I stayed up a little bit later so spend some time with mummy and daddy, they were talking about mummy going on the train again tomorrow…. I had no idea where we were going.

I didn’t have to get up quite so early on Thursday morning, which was good because I stayed up a bit later the night before.  I knew we had another adventure today but I wasn’t exactly sure what was going on.  Mummy had packed an overnight bag and we made our way to the tube, all the way to Waterloo station.  From here we got on another train but it was different from the tube train, firstly it was above ground and secondly there were lots of fancier seats and a toilet.  There is a special spot on the train for handicap or Prams, so we settled in this spot for 90mins until we arrived at our destination – Southampton.  We were visiting mummy’s friend from Australia Rebecca and her 3 boys – Oliver, Luca and Jude.  They have a lovely house full of toys! I got to play with blocks and cars, trucks and all sorts of new and interesting things.  Jude is the same age as me, so I showed him how to crawl, which I have to say, my style of crawling has improved greatly.  Mummy says I don’t crawl like a slug anymore and I am really quick! I found a fun game where I would chase Oliver into the kitchen, then he would go back to the lounge so I would follow him again, I was his shadow. I was really enjoying all the space to crawl around.  All four of us had a bath together, this was the first time I noticed that boys are different to girls, if you know what I mean? They are loud and boisterous, that was what you were thinking as well, right?

Jude and I playing with his blocks

Hey Santa, can I please have some blocks for Christmas?

Bath time mummy!

The boys are really well behaved and went straight to sleep at bedtime, I decided to make a big of noise but after a while I got myself to sleep.  I had such a fun day and didn’t know what to expect for tomorrow, this was our week of adventure.  I missed my daddy and I know he missed me too, but I think he had a good night with the boys – JD and Pally.

Friday morning was hectic with everyone getting ready even the boys had been up a long time before mummy and I.  They were pretty much ready to get out the door and go to Pixies Nursery before mummy and I had breakfast.  Oliver and Jude went to Nursery for the day and we went with Bec and Luca to the doctors.  It was actually a really cool doctors office, very new and high tech.  They had all these games and toys, I played with them all.  My favourite was a tunnel but it was more like crawling over a small hill in a tunnel and I wasn’t scared going through it, I had a big grin on my face the whole time. We stayed that night, because Saturday we were on nanny duty.  Bec was taking Oliver to Peppa Pig World, which sounds amazing and I hope mummy takes me one day when I am big enough to enjoy all the rides.  Luca and Jude are lots of fun to play with and I was very envious of their toy collection. We had cottage pie for lunch and it was my first time trying it and loved it! Must have been Bec’s yummy cooking because I am not usually a fan of lunch.  When Oliver came home from Peppa Pig world, he told us all about how much fun he had on all the rides.  Santa was there too, man that guy gets around! He also bought mummy a big chocolate lollipop and a lovely T-shirt for me. We had so much fun in Southampton I was sad to go but excited to see my daddy, I missed him.

We caught the train home in the afternoon, but my adventure wasn’t over yet…. We didn’t go home when daddy picked us up from the station, we went to Henry and Lucille’s house.  Daddy had his work party and his boss is Henry and Lucille’s daddy.  Mummy likes hanging out with their mummy Jo, so they bought a few bottles of wine and had a girly night.  When I arrived at their house Henry was so excited to see me and immediately wanted to have a bath with me.  I love Henry, he calls me Baby Harlow. We splashed about and played with his bath toys, then I had some dinner and it was already time for bed.  I think that was mummy’s plan so her and Jo could hang out whilst us babies slept.  I had other plans though, I took a little while to go to sleep and kept Henry up with my crying, but in the end I got tired and finally fell asleep around 10pm.  I think mummy and Jo had a rather late night, as I heard mummy creep into the room at a ridiculous time of the morning, and daddy came home shortly after.

The weekend wasn’t over yet, as we had plans for Sunday as well. We slept in for a little bit, which I think daddy was glad for.   But once mummy woke up, it was go go go! She literally had to push daddy out of bed, as we had to get home and cleaned up then catch the tube to Southwark.  Aunty Kristy was having a farewell birthday/xmas lunch with friends before she jet-setted back to Australia for a holiday with Julien.  She was visiting her family in Sydney and showing Julien all the nice things we have back in Australia.  I wonder if he will get to see a Koala bear like the one I have in my bed.  I bet he will get to swim in the beach, something I never got to do before we moved here.  I have heard from Omi and G Nan that the weather hasn’t been nice, so I hope it warms up for them.  Mummy and daddy were a little late but they had a lovely roast beef lunch and they dressed me up like an Elf which everyone loved.  Kristy has some lovely friends which means I got lots of cuddles, even from the boys!

On Tuesday mummy took me to visit Santa in Hyde Park.  This was our second attempt as our first was a disaster. This time we went as soon as it opened which was a much better idea than going on a Sunday.  There wasn’t even a line up so I got to spend lots of time with Santa telling him everything I wanted for Christmas.  To be honest I was a little bit nervous of him, all that white hair and deep voice put me off.  I wasn’t my usual smiling self.  He was very impressed with my elf outfit and I am pretty sure if mummy wasn’t keeping an eye on him, he might have put me in his sleigh and recruit me to help in the North pole with the other elves.

I am still not up to date with everything we have been doing this December, so if mummy doesn’t mind we are going to try and get up to date in this blog because the next few days are HUGE and we might get behind again. I never knew how busy one month could.   December is by far the busiest month of the year, not just because of Christmas and New year but it’s also Mummy’s birthday!  Wednesday 14th December, mummy woke to find me awake in my cot holding a card and a very tasty looking chocolate.  I did my best to get into the chocolate whilst she was still asleep but mummy got it away from me in time, and ate it all, I didn’t even get a chance to smell that sweet scent of coconut as she opened it, she ate it that quickly. She had another card waiting for her in the kitchen from daddy, that was just a small surprise to start the day.  We met my friends Charlie, William and their mums for lunch at the Crown and Anchor pub in Chiswick.  It is kinda of our usual place on a Wednesday, we usually go after Hartbeeps, however Hartbeeps has finished for the year.  We spent a couple of hours in the pub, the mummies drank some wine and us babies all slept.  When daddy came home, he told us girls to get ready for a night out, he had a surprise up his sleeve. Mummy put on a pretty dress and I just dressed warmly for the night.  Daddy drove us to Clapham to mummies favourite restaurant in London, El Rincon Latino.  Mummy and daddy used to visit this place when they lived just around the corner and also before they got together.  They have had some really fun nights there and tonight was another to add to the list.  Daddy had organised lots of mummies friends to meet him there and surprise her.  I was a good girl and I fell asleep, but I heard everyone partying till quite late.  They all shared yummy tapas and drank lots of Sangria.  Leroy and Natalie, JD1, JD2, Fran, Jo and Pally were all there to celebrate mummy’s birthday, they all sang very loudly when the cake came out but I was such a good girl and slept soundly in my pram.  I think mummy had a really lovely birthday but was sad she is facing her last year in her twenties.

Trying to eat mummy's present

Going out for mummy's birthday

We were meant to visit Kristy on Thursday for lunch but mummy and I weren’t feeling very well, she had a sore throat earlier in the week and it had developed into a cough and runny nose, so we spent the morning in bed and later in the afternoon we had to get a few last minute Christmas presents and post them to Australia – sorry everyone my mummy is not known for her timing and I think we may have missed the deadline for presents to arrive in time for Christmas.  So we re-scheduled lunch with Kristy for Friday. We caught the bus to Oxford street and  met her at her work, we had lots of presents stuffed into my pram as it is Kristy’s birthday very soon and we also had Christmas presents.  We had pizza for lunch and mummy even shared her crust with me, it was DELICOUS! I am a big fan of pizza crust. They had a lovely lunch and I was a good girl for the most part.  Mummy got very spoilt by Kristy, she got a beautiful gold locket necklace from House of Harlow.  Kristy chose very well, because I have seen mummy put that exact necklace in her wishlist for Christmas. She also got a lovely scarf and book, she got very spoilt, as did I. I wasn’t expecting any presents as it was Kristy and Mummy’s day but Kristy surprised me! She really spoilt me too, I got the best bear from Harrods, it is so soft and when you turn his tale he plays ‘you are my sunshine’. I also got some lovely clothes and my first Christmas ornament from Selfridges.

Asleep with my new teddy - Thank you Kristy

Mummy wanted to visit Ikea and Toys r Us on Saturday so much to daddy’s disappointment, we made our way there fairly early in the morning to beat the crowds.  I am not sure what mummy had to get as she kept everything fairly well hidden in a big bag.   Then in the evening mummy and daddy dressed up in some hideous festive jumpers, I don’t know what they were thinking but I wouldn’t be caught dead in a cardigan donning multiple Santas and I am pretty sure daddy was wearing a womans cardigan. They were going to a party in Angel, Rae and Sonders annual festive jumper party.  I was spending the night with Sarah and Danny.  I really like going to their place, this time they had a Christmas tree and I decided to help re-decorate it. I have lots of fun with Sarah and Danny, I can’t wait for their baby to arrive, I will have another little friend to play with and Mummy and Sarah can hang out together.

Thank you Sarah and Danny for looking after me

Wow!! so much to catch up on, I am sorry my mummy hasn’t had time to help me blog.  We are almost up to date, we just have the last few days to write about, but I might save that for next time.  I promise to write again soon as it will be all about Christmas.

Hideous festive jumpers - what a pair!

I think I have remembered everything, other than a few updates on what I new tricks I can do.  When we are at home or in the car, I clap my hands to music and start to bob up and down.  I can get myself so quickly around the house, mummy sometimes doesn’t realise I am right behind her and almost trips up and finally much to mummy’s delight, I am saying ‘mum mum mum’.  I managed to time it well, for her birthday.  The other great news is that our internet is fixed, so there really is no excuse to keep this blog up to date.

It’s not long till Christmas now (4 sleeps infact) so I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas! There are a few first Christmas’ for my friends Cora, Jake, Ada and my cousin Jordy, I hope they have a very special day and Santa makes all their wishes come true.

JD’s Birthday week

All dressed up for Winter wonderland

I have had a very busy week this week, so I will break it down day by day.  On Monday mummy and I had a homely day, we spent part of the day doing housework which I don’ really help with.  Mummy puts me in my cot so she can clean the floors and I entertain myself with some of my toys and watch her – not a bad deal methinks.  I don’t really like the vacuum cleaner as it’s too loud, it’s probably the worst part of flat cleaning. In the evening daddy and I had a night in whilst mummy went out with some girlfriends.  She went to Piccadilly circus to have Wagamama’s for dinner and watch the new Twilight movie.  She went with Kristy and Nikki and some of Kristy’s friends from work. I was a good girl for daddy, we spent most of night watching Monday night football. I tried very hard to get the remote control and change it to Cbeebies, I think I would have preferred watching Zingzilla’s to football.

Tuesday was a pamper day for mummy which I wasn’t all that impressed with.  She had an appointment at the hairdressers (well overdue, her roots were terrible).  I was a good girl for the most part but I don’t really like to spend my day in my pram watching hair being cut, coloured and blow dried.  Especially since my like for hairdryers is up there with vacuum cleaners – no love for them! Mummy looked so silly with lots of silver foil in her hair, so this part was entertaining but the rest of the day – BORING!

Wednesday was my usual day with an hour spent at Hartbeeps in the morning and there was a christmas twist to the session today – Winter Wonderland.  It was all very christmassy.  Mummy dressed me up with a pretty white flower in my hair and my lovely red dress. We played with funny red Rudolph noses and Santa hats.  My favourite part was when the lady bought out the bubble machine, I LOVE bubbles.  I wish I had a bubble machine at home all the time.  Sometimes mummy blows the bath bubbles high up in the sky and I think its hilarious, especially when the bubbles fall on my head.  Any way the day was really fun and afterwards we had lunch at a pub with some other mummies and babies.  One of the other mummies was Australian as well, but her little boy was born here in England.  Mummy had a few glasses of wine with the aussie girl and I think mummy’s pram skills were a little bit wonky on the way home.

Another day and another activity planned for our family.  Thursday was Uncle JD’s birthday, so we met him and our friends out for an Organic dinner.  But before we went out for dinner, mummy and I took the tube out to Ealing Broadway during the day to visit her photographer friend Natasha and her daughter Reese.  We ended up staying almost all day.  I played with Reese and I had fish fingers for the first time ever.  They were very yummy, I liked the fish more than the bread crumbs.  Mummy and Natasha talked a lot about photography and were planning some fun shoots out in the countryside for when it warms up a little bit. I am looking forward to them as I love the camera and I will get to play in the long grass or pick flowers.  I might even be walking on my own by then, I am getting really good at walking around the flat.

Time got away from us though and we had to rush home to meet daddy and go to the pub for dinner.  There is a pub in Angel called the Duke of Cambridge and they only sell organic booze and serve only organic meals.  I already had my dinner which was mummies version of the Duke of Cambridge’s organic Vegie Medley which I wasn’t all that keen on. We were running out of time for mummy to trick me into eating it, so I ended up having Organic Weetabix.  (For the aussies they are called Weet-a-bix here not Weetbix). The other day I tried Vegemite toast, it was delicious!!  I really am a proper Aussie girl.  I had so much fun at the pub, I can tell Rae and Sonders love me very much because they both gave me lots of cuddles.  Pally and Tom were rather loud but were still very funny, although Pally was wearing a hat I didn’t really like and I met JD’s new girlfriend Fran, mummy has said good things about her as she used to see her in Clapham back in mummy’s party days, I liked Fran’s pretty pink nails. All up it was a fun night but it was a little late for me.  Mummy and daddy had lots of fun and really enjoyed the Organic G & T’s.

Lovely Rae rae!

Winter is getting colder

Since we had a big week so far mummy had planned to have a quiet day on Friday.  We cleaned up the house again which is pretty standard for a Friday morning and went for our daily walk around Chiswick.  Mummy also made up some yummy food for me for the weekend ahead and a few different things to freeze for during the week.  I am getting quite picky with my food.  My favourite things (and mummy falls back on these if I am particularly fussy) are vegemite toast, Weetbix, bananas, blueberries, dried apricots, yoghurt and cheese stringers and Spag bol with baby pasta shapes – Yummo!!

Mummy felt like going shopping on Saturday and we hadn’t been to Westfields in a while.  So we got on the big red bus number 94 and I fell asleep whilst mummy did some shopping.  When I woke up mummy had a little surprise for me.  She found a really good shop with lots of clothes for little girls like me.  In fact mummy liked it so much she bought me a new dress with matching tights and a fur Gilet.  She said I needed a new outfit for my Santa Photo next weekend.  She was very impressed with the selections of clothes that she came home and made another gift list to add to my Christmas wish list.

In the evening mummy and daddy got all dressed up and packed me an overnight bag.  They were going out for JD’s birthday, without me.  I wasn’t too worried as I had really like Sarah, she is always happy to see me and I knew I would have such a fun night  in North London. Danny and Sarah are both so lovely.  Sarah told mummy yesterday that Danny is in love with me! I had a little bit of late night, but that was probably because I fell asleep on the way.  I think mummy was a little bit nervous when she dropped me off but she didn’t have any thing to worry about.  Sarah and Danny have a big black fluffy dog called Milo, he is so funny and reminds me a little bit of Cherry Garcia.  He was so excited and curious about me and at first I was a little scared as he was so full of puppy energy and excitement.  In the morning I woke up fairly early and Sarah gave me my favourite cereal… you guessed it, Weetabix.  We played for a little bit whilst we waited for mummy and daddy to get up and come and pick me up.  I ended up falling asleep on Danny’s lap. I really enjoyed my night away from mummy and daddy but of course I was happy to see them again and gave daddy lots of hugs and kisses.  We have this new game we like to play, daddy takes my nose off and shows it to me.  Then I lean forward and he puts it back on again.

This week isn’t going to be as busy as last week but mummy still has some fun things planned for us.

It’s getting so close to Christmas and mummy didn’t realise that one of her gift lists closed two weeks before the delivery date, so she has set it up again if you need it.  She also added a new gift link with lots of lovely clothes – happy shopping.
