Come on mummy!!! I had my second ever swimming lesson today. Last week I laughed an smiled the whole through and everyone called me a water baby. This week I was the star of the show, when the teacher told us to blow bubbles like a fish for old macdonald, on cue I blew my first bubbles in the water. Everyone was very impressed. I love kicking and splashing in the water, it so much fun. At the end mummy put some funny arm bands on me and let go and I swam all by myself. I think mummy should take me swimming on the weekend do I can show daddy how good I am.

Shopping, Feeding Reindeers and a Santa photo disaster

Standard

WOW what a very busy two weeks we have had.  I almost don’t know where to start. Mummy has been so busy and apologises for not having time to help me on my blog.

So lets start from the very beginning since I last blogged.  That week mummy and I weren’t really feeling the best, we had the beginnings of a cold, runny noses and we were sneezing a little bit more often, so we keep it quiet for the first part of the week,  we spent most of our time chilling out at home, playing with my toys and reading books.  On Thursday we were ready to face the world and mummy’s friend Robyn came over to visit.  Mummy and Robyn had planned to go shopping and off we went.  We spent most part of the day at Westfields and only stopped for lunch.  The funny thing was we spent a lot of time at those shops but they barely bought anything.  Before I was born mummy and Robyn could shop like no tomorrow, but not today they were very well behaved.  We also went for lunch but I wasn’t really feeling it, so I made a mess and mummy and Robyn had a yummy but short lunch at Nandos.  Robyn was going to see Rhianna in the evening so we all decided after shopping to get some lovely cheeses and wine and went home to hang out.

Friday Robyn came to get her things and have a yummy fry up in Chiswick.  Obviously I didn’t get to try anything, I had toast, but it sure did look shiny and smelt delicious. Sadly Robyn had to go home in the morning so Mummy and I didn’t do much the rest of the day.  She promised me however that we had something fun planned for Saturday.

Mummy used to enjoy meeting up with her friend Sinead after a days work when she worked in Victoria for Manpower, Sinead worked in the building on the corner at TFL (Transport for London).  They loved catching up over a few bottles of wine.  Mummy hasn’t see Sinead for a long time so Kristy had organised a brunch at a nice Australian place called Kopapa.  They had some very nice breakfast type meals, whilst I enjoyed some Bang bang chicken fingers and grapes and had a nap.  Later in the day we walked to Covent garden as we had read about a little Reindeer farm.  We went to check it out, and it wasn’t so much a farm as it was two Reindeer in the middle of Covent Garden with some hay.  It was nice though, mummy never realised that the Reindeer’s antlers were so furry.  We got a picture with the Reindeer and the three of us in a sleigh. It was starting to get very cold but it was a really nice day.

Sunday was in theory a really fun day planned, however in reality was a nightmare.  Mummy had wanted to get a Santa photo to send to all our friends and family in Australia, and because we are in London and I crawled for the first time here, she wanted to get the pic in Hyde park at Winter Wonderland.  To be fair it is a really nice place and you can’t help but feel all chrismassy and jolly. But why on earth she thought a Sunday would be a good idea is beyond me.  But we all caught the bus to Hyde Park and when we left we didn’t at all look at the weather and worry, however when we got there it was another story.  It looked a bit shady with a high possibility of rain when we first arrived and by the time we finally found Santa in Santaland, and hear about the 2 hour wait, it decided that the high possibility of rain was actually a guarantee.  I was ok because knowing the weather in London can be unpredictable, mummy never leaves the house without my raincover in the pram bag.  So they covered me up and I was snug as a bug.  Hang on I forgot to mention that mummy had dressed me up as an elf especially for this picture.  Any way, standing in the cold rain and knowing that Santa was 2 hours away, mummy and daddy decided to line up for a shorter and tastier line, the german sausage and gluwein line.  Kristy and Julien were going to meet us there however mummy prewarned them about the weather and crowds and they chose the much warmer option of staying home, if I could talk I would have voiced the same idea.  We didn’t last much longer either, once the last of the sausage was eaten we were straight back on the Piccadilly line home to Turnham Green.

Chat to you tomorrow. xH

Half year Birthday

Standard

It’s my 6 month birthday today. Mummy says the time has gone so quickly that she will have to start planning my first birthday soon, it’s coming up so fast.  Unfortunately my 1/2 year birthday wasn’t all about celebrating, it definitely had it’s ups and downs.  I had a fun morning with mummy, I woke a little early so I got cuddles with mummy in her big bed, then we slept in till 8:30!  At midday I had a doctors appointment for my 6 month check up and jabs.  That is the part of the day I didn’t enjoy, on the upside I now weigh 7kg and I am 65cms tall but those sharp needles hurt! Mummy said I was very brave and becuase I was such a good girl we went to my friend Benjamin Bowran’s house for a play date.  Ben is a month older than me and I hadn’t seen him a few months so he had plenty of new tricks to teach me.  He can almost crawl and he has the best toy collection.  After a midday snooze and some lunch we went for a walk around his hood.  He has this awesome ‘smart trike’. It looked really cool so I think I might put that on my wish list for Santa this year.

Daddy and I had a late night last night.  Unfortunately he had to work a night shift after working all day… poor daddy, he works so hard for us.  Mummy and I went out to a fundraiser. Sadly a friend of our family is not very well and will be spending a lot of time in hospital over the next few months, so her family and friends organised a night to raise money for her and her family.  It was nice to see everyone and mummy won a really cool prize in the raffle.

On Sunday night we had a pizza night at my friend Cora’s house. Cora has a 3D television, so daddy got his geek on and watched all sorts of 3D Dvd’s.  I think I know what will be on daddy’s Santa wish list this year.

This week has been a ‘GREAT’ week so far,  I have had my Oma visiting until Friday and she always makes me laugh and tomorrow my other ‘GREAT’ grandparents arrive.  I can’t wait to see Nan and G.Dad, they always give me so many cuddles.

Only 9 more sleeps till take off.

Oh dear!!  This blog has been a bit of a learning curve for mummy and I.  We just realised that we started our blog on the wrong blog address.  So we have started again but we  had some really cute pics on those previous posts so we have included them below:

I had a little bit of a rough night last night, being able to roll onto my tummy seemed like an awesome new trick however I never expected it to interrupt my sleep. You see, now that I can roll onto my tummy sometimes I do it in my sleep and then I am stuck as there is no more room in the cot for me to roll back (I only roll to the left).  So I scream until mummy sorts me out and then I go straight back to sleep. I thought she might be a bit grumpy this morning as I got her up 3 times,  I haven’t done that since I was 7 weeks old, I hope I learn how to control my rolling very quickly. Luckily mummy wasn’t upset with me and we had such a fun day together.

Wednesdays are my favourite day of the week. I get to play with all my little friends I met at parent classes whilst our mummy’s chit chat the afternoon away. After my morning nap, we went to Belinda and Skyler’s house to meet up with all my new friends and mummy’s.  I had strawberries for lunch and I must say, they went down a treat! Strawberries are definitely a new favourite, I hope I get them tomorrow.

After a little bit of shopping, we walked over to Park Central and sat in the sun to soak up some much needed vitamin D.  Jake and Cora joined me in the park, they are both really good at sitting, so they gave me a few tips and I practised the afternoon away.  Jake also likes to eat the grass and Cora has this awesome musical tool box toy (hint hint mummy – christmas is just round the corner).  Jakes mummy – Michelle, bought some bread along to feed the ducks, it was a pretty good way to spend the afternoon.

What did you get up to on this beautiful sunny day?
