Easter weekend Road trip

Standard

Today is good Friday and we are having a great Friday! ! At the moment we are very lucky my Aunty Jessie and Uncle Pat are visiting us from Australia.  They have been travelling around Europe on a contiki tour and now they are spending 10 days with us in London.  Aunty and Jessie and Uncle Pat are so much fun I wish they didn’t live so far away.

Last night mummy and daddy went out with them for a curry on Brick Lane in East London. They really enjoyed a proper curry.

Today we are on an adventure. Daddy has some time off work so we are taking full advantage of this. We have hire a big Van and we are driving West. Our first stop will be Winchester to see the Round Table. Then Stone Henge, Bath and our final stop for the day will be in Bristol. We will spend the night in Bristol and then tomorrow…. well who knows where mummy has planned. We could end up anywhere! !

What are you doing this Easter Weekend??

Dear Santa

Standard

Mummy helped me write a letter to Santa the other day. I wrote to him telling him if I made the good list there are a few things I would like. We stuck the letter in an envelope, addressed to the North Pole and then we walked up the street and put it in the big red letter box. I can’t wait for Santa to read it.

This year I asked him for:
Balloons
Chocolate
Guitar
Camera
Disney outfits
Puzzles
Books
Winter clothes
Summer clothes – for my holiday in Australia
Toys

I know it looks like I asked for a lot but to be honest I just wanted to ask for chocolate but mummy said that I should give him some more options…

What did you put on your xmas list this year?

Ophelia is crawling

Video

My sister Ophelia is 7 months old. When I was 7 months we had already moved to London and I was sitting up on my own and to get around I would roll. But my sister is so clever not only is she is sitting up really straight and rolls around in every direction she is saying ‘Mama’ planking and best of all crawling!

Mummy said it took me a bit longer to crawl, I was over 8 months old…. Ophelia started crawling two weeks ago already!

Here is a little video of my clever little crawling sister.

Halloween 2013

Image

Oops this blog is about a month and a half over due…. Halloween flashback

I know Halloween has been and gone weeks ago but we have been a bit quiet on the blogs lately so I have a little bit of catching up to do. This year mummy didn’t go overboard and buy us outrageous costumes, we kept it simple. We made some Jack’o’lanterns and put them out the front, we hung a glow in the dark skeleton and bought lots of lollies in case we had some trick or treaters knock on our door.

I had never gone trick or treating before but at nursery they decided to take us out in our Halloween costumes. It was fun knocking on the doors around in and around our street and yelling ‘Trick or Treat’! I worked out that you got more lollies from the homes that had jack’o’lanterns out the front.

When mummy picked me up from nursery we knocked on a few more doors on our way home. I have never seen so many lollies. The other part of Halloween I enjoyed was when kids knocked on our front door and I gave them lollies. There were so many scary outfits – skeletons, pirates, ghosts and witches. For weeks mummy and I talked about dressing me up as the big bad wolf and we were going to put Ophelia in a piggy outfit – The three little pigs is my favourite book at the moment. However we couldn’t find a cool wolf outfit so I dressed up as the Halloween fairy.

What did you dress up as for Halloween?

Christmas Wishlists

Standard

One month till Christmas – how time flies!! Have you started your Christmas shopping? Mummy said she has bought a few things already (I am not sure I believe her, she always leaves everything to the last minute).

The reason I know Christmas is just around the corner is because the days are really short now, all the Christmas lights are up, people are always walking around with lots of shopping bags and all the Christmas grotto’s are starting to open up at all my favourite places – Hyde Park, Kew Gardens, Westfields etc.

Last week mummy helped me write a letter to Santa and next week we are making a Christmas cake. She has never made one before so it could go either way!

Last year we had Omi and Poppy here to celebrate with, we had a huge tree in the middle of the lounge room which daddy decorated and we ate a massive Christmas feast. This year its just the four of us but I think Mummy still has a few surprises up her sleeve.

I can’t wait to buy the Christmas tree and decorate it with my little sister – this will be her first Christmas.

Have you been good this year? What will santa bring you?

Mummy has helped me put together some wishlists for my family in Australia and an extra reminder for Santa. At the moment there are lots of things I am into and really enjoy playing with. So here are a few of my favourite things:
Imaginative play -dressing up in fancy dress
Jewllery
Playing with dolls houses/fairies etc
Board games (Orchard Toys)
My favourite characters are Hello Kitty or Peppa Pig
Music and dancing – especially playing the guitar
Taking photos
Reading books -Julia Donaldson are my favouites.
Converse Shoes (white high tops)
As it is getting colder I also would love some new winter clothes and shoes.

Ophelia is still so small and she has inherited most of my toys but I think she still needs a few more. Mummy has included toys for her in my wishlists on the links below. She is sitting, wiggling and rolling her way around the house- almost crawling so any toys to help promote that will be nice. The next step for her will be standing and walking so toys that get her moving, standing or bouncing will be lots of fun for her aswell. She is also sitting up in the bath – so some new bath toys (which will benefit me too! haha).

Ciao Bella

Standard

Another beautiful day in Sardinia. The weather has been lovely. Daddy hates when it’s stinking hot like the last time were in Italy and it was 40+ degrees. Here it has been averaging 28 which is perfect, warm and sunny enough to go swimming and for mummy to top up her tan (although I don’t know why because I bet when we are back in London she will be wearing jeans and jumpers – no one will see this tan).

Our third day here was a nice lazy day spent on the beach and in the pool. Mummy and daddy took turns to go for an early morning swim in the beach before we woke up. Then after some brekky daddy took me to the playground and we then met mummy and Ophelia at the beach. Daddy bought me some arm bands yesterday to help with my swimming. I love them!! As soon as I got in the water off I went, I left them behind and just paddled out to sea (well almost daddy was very close behind me). To be honest as much as I like the beach the salt water does not taste very nice and it hurts my eyes a little. I much prefer the warm resort pool.

I think I spent about two hours in the water between the pool and the beach. I love my new arm bands!

After a while I got a bit tired and mummy said we had been in the sun long enough so it was time for lunch – delicious cheese and ham sandwiches and some fresh fruit.

After a quick midday nap it was time to go back out to the beach. This time Ophelia slept so both mummy and daddy got in the water with me. Daddy took me almost as far as the orange bouys, it was very exciting and a little scary. I don’t like swimming over the seaweed. We built some sand castles and then went back into the resort pool again.

We decided to make out own dinner tonight, I had a mushroom risotto and mummy and daddy tried some giant ravioli’s with a surprise filling. They can’t read Italian and there were no pictures of to gives hints of what it was filled with so it was a surprise dinner luckily it was a tasty cheese. I really enjoyed their pasta aswell. I was exhausted and after playing up for a little bit I finally went to to sleep. Mummy has been surprised that even though I am so tired at night I am refusing to go straight to sleep. I am just so happy to be on holiday I don’t want to miss a minute of it!
