End of summer

Standard

This long weekend is meant to traditionally mark the end of Summer, I haven’t seen summer since early July so she left the party before way this weekend! It’s been a mixed weekend of fun and being inside all day because it’s been quite dark and gloomy. Either way we have made the most of it and had some fun.

The simple things

Standard

Well I must say, it’s been a while hasn’t it? Have you missed me?

We have been so busy having fun this summer, mummy and daddy both working full time and I am at school it means there are just not enough hours in the day. In my absence we celebrated our 4th year of Harlowsbeat.  We have enjoyed every year don’t want to stop now…

Summer is back for a day, peaking at promising 29 degrees. We haven’t had a picnic just with mummy in so long it was nice to munch on some delicious sandwiches and cakes whilst topping up our faded holiday tan.

The rain is back tomorrow so don’t expect too many more of these pics for summer of 2015.

Christmas

Standard

What a Christmas! !! Uncle Luke came to visit from Stuttgart and spend Christmas with our little family. Good news I must have made the nice list because Santa came to visit and left lots of presents and ate all the cookies.

We had a delicious seafood dinner ON Christmas eve and we stayed up very late unwrapping presents from all my family back in Australia.  I miss and love you all thank you for all my beautiful presents.  Ophelia enjoyed Xmas a lot more this year. She got so many toys and I helped her unwrap most of them.

Here are some pics of our family Christmas.

Santa’s reply

Standard

The other day I had a special surprise email. It was from the big guy at the north pole. Our favourite man at this time of year (sorry daddy). He had some special news for me. He bad received my letter and has been keeping an eye on me. He heard that sometimes I don’t listen or eat all my vegetables so he said I need to be extra good to make the nice list.

I think I have been exceptional this week…. I am sure mummy would say the same.

Dear Santa

Standard

Yesterday I wrote a letter to Santa. I have been a good girl all year so together Ophelia and I asked Father Christmas for some nice presents.

I have been so busy lately with Christmas preparations. I will be starring in my first Nativity play in 2 weeks. We have a Christmas fair at school and a trip to the theatre for a pantomime next week. I love my new school.

Here are some pics of my letter to Santa.

What did you ask Santa for Xmas?

Christmas Wishlist 2014

Standard

Its that wonderful time of year when it gets dark really early, you can’t walk out the door unless you have a few layers on and all the christmas lights come out. My mummy loves this time of year but at the same times she misses the warm weather. I like this time of year because it means it is getting closer to christmas which means lots of fun Christmas events, yummy christmas food and of course PRESENTS!! I don’t think I know any kid my age that does’t love this time of year.

At the moment I am giving mummy a headache – almost every commercial on TV is about toys and of course I want every single one of them and have to tell her…. in fact I say it so often now Ophelia says ‘I want one of those’ when a toy ad comes on.

Obviously mummy isn’t going to buy me every toy I want because most of the time they look much better than what they really are. But she has promised a few and told me I need to let Santa know what I want the most as well.  So mummy has done a wonderful job of putting together a list of toys that I would really like at Christmas and some clothes as my winter wardrobe is a little bit thin.  She thought it would be helpful if anyone was stuck for ideas.

So here are the links for all our friends and Families – especially those in Oz. Mummy knows these websites are easy to buy online and deliver straight to our house. She will even wrap them and put them under the tree.

Basically you’ll find the list is full of Toys (Magiclip princesses, Disney Frozen toys, Minnie’s Boutique, Ben & Holly), Rain coats and wellies, Clothes

Four Seasons in one day

Standard

The last few weeks at school we have been learning about all the different seasons. At the moment all the leaves on the trees are changing colour and falling off the trees. Which means its…. Autumn! All the pavements are covered in gorgeous yellow leaves which I love to crunch or kick in the air on my way home from school. This week has been half term so no school! Hayley has been brilliant taking us to Acton Park and embracing all thing’s Autumn.  Here are some of the pics she took!

Which is your favourite season??

Our own Mary Poppins

Standard

It’s been a few months now since Mummy has gone back to work. Luckily for us she doesn’t have to work long hours every week so we still see her enough. But when mummy is at work we can’t very well look after ourselves, so she has bought a special person into our lives. This post is long overdue and mummy really should have introduced our Nanny Hayley to you all months ago.

I would like you to meet Hayley.  She is very lovely and super fun. She looks after us in the week with another little boy who lives in the apartment upstairs – Joshua.  Ophelia and Joshua are about 4 months apart in age so they get along well unless Joshua wants to play with O’s toys then we all hear who is boss!

So back to Hayley…. she is brilliant. She picks me up from school, takes me to Ballet and swimming lessons, takes us all to the park and plays with us all day. She has lots of fun ideas so we enjoy arts & crafts and cooking at home and she cooks a mean dinner and makes me eat all of my veggies. We are so lucky that mummy found Hayley.  Did I mention she is also Australian?! So she is just like Mummy and daddy.

Here are a few pics of the fun we have together.
