About Harlow London Stanley

With a lot of help from my mummy, I am writing this blog to help my friends and family stay in touch with me when we move to London in a few weeks. I am going to miss everyone and I am not very good at writing emails and I can't talk yet, so skype can be difficult. So we thought this would be the most fun way for everyone to see what I am up to. At the moment I am almost 6 months old so there are few big milestones ahead of me, teeth, crawling, walking and talking are just a few that I hope to master this year. All of my family will be home in Australia and will miss these amazing moments, so I promise to post them with pictures, videos and little diary entries as soon as they happen.

Our own Mary Poppins

Standard

It’s been a few months now since Mummy has gone back to work. Luckily for us she doesn’t have to work long hours every week so we still see her enough. But when mummy is at work we can’t very well look after ourselves, so she has bought a special person into our lives. This post is long overdue and mummy really should have introduced our Nanny Hayley to you all months ago.

I would like you to meet Hayley.  She is very lovely and super fun. She looks after us in the week with another little boy who lives in the apartment upstairs – Joshua.  Ophelia and Joshua are about 4 months apart in age so they get along well unless Joshua wants to play with O’s toys then we all hear who is boss!

So back to Hayley…. she is brilliant. She picks me up from school, takes me to Ballet and swimming lessons, takes us all to the park and plays with us all day. She has lots of fun ideas so we enjoy arts & crafts and cooking at home and she cooks a mean dinner and makes me eat all of my veggies. We are so lucky that mummy found Hayley.  Did I mention she is also Australian?! So she is just like Mummy and daddy.

Here are a few pics of the fun we have together.

Little Ballerina

Standard

Another first for the day, for my 3rd birthday my Omi bought dance lessons for me however it has taken mummy this long to find a class that I will really enjoy. Mummy was never a dancer so this is all new to her. She really wanted me to do some sort of hip hop or street dance but instead good old fashioned Ballet won her over.   All of my best buddies go to the same ballet school so we knew it would be a lot of fun. Edie is in my class and today we had our first lesson. Unfortunately mummy and daddy were both at work but here is a video for everyone to watch. It was more 9f a success than a football class i went in a few weeks ago.

Don’t I look cute in my little ballerina outfit?!

I have included some videos but these were taken through a door with a curtain so it’s a little hard to see me and Edie running amuck! !

First day at my new nursery

Standard

From the title you can probably guess what I am blogging about today. Since I graduated from Cybertots in July I have been very excited about this day. It was my first day at my new nursery. This nursery is very cool as it’s almost like a warm up to big school or kindergarten as it’s called in Australia. My new nursery is part of the school mummy wants me to go to when I am old enough (next year).  It’s all brand new as the school only opened last year, so very clean and modern. The head teacher (principle in Australia) is Miss Steele and my teacher is Miss ‘Kiss’ ( her name is very long and hard to pronounce so everyone calls her miss kiss).  I will go to nursery at Ark Priory every morning for three hours a day.

Mummy walked me to school and stayed with me for a little bit. As soon as I got in there I made myself at home-took my shoes off and went straight for the dress up clothes.  I couldn’t help putting on the beautiful red riding hood followed by the Snow White dress two minutes later.

It was a fun day but I can’t wait till Thursday as the whole class will be there and one of my best buddies Freya is in my class. I am sure we will both be little angels everyday.

Best day of my life…. so far

Standard

Yesterday I told mummy ‘this is the best day of my life!’ It was amazing as I was surrounded by my lovely friends. We all got together and had a lovely picnic and play at the Park Club.  The Park Club is a very exclusive and expensive leisure centre. Unfortunately mummy has said we can’t get membership there but we are lucky as our beautiful friend Nat had some complimentary passes she shared with the group.  So we ciuldnt refuse a day outside playing with my buddies before we all start school.

Yes you heard right! I am starting school next week. Over here once you turn three you can either go to a private nursery or a nursery attached to a school.  I was at a private nursery Cybertots but mummy wanted me try out the school nursery. We applied to go to Ark Priory which is a new school that opened last year and is just down the road. I can’t wait to start my new nursery on Tuesday morning. I will go five days a week for three hours every morning.  I am sooooo excited!!

So here are some photos of us having fun on the jumping pillow or as mummy calls it the fun pillow!

ALS Ice bucket challenge!

Standard

My mummy took part in the ALS Ice bucket challenge. Silly woman calls it a  water bucket challenge but we know what she meant. It’s getting cold here in London so better her than me!

We are donating money to both ALS and The Regal Regiment. The Regal Regiment is a brilliant fundraising family supporting research for MND –  very close to our hearts.

Anyway she nominated Poppy, Aunty Jenny and Nathan Charles.  We look forward to seeing all your videos and donations.

Graduation

Standard

I have been at nursery for over a year now and although I have been having a great time and made some lovely friends its time i said goodbye to cybertots. I had some great news a few weeks ago, I received a placement at the nursery attached to the school my mummy and daddy want me to go to – Ark Priory. It’s just up the road and it is all very new. The building looks really cool and the other week they had a very fun school fair.  I loved playing in the play ground. I am so excited to start my new school in September. On Friday I picked up my new uniform, all very exciting. My school colours are red and blue.

Before I move on to my new school however, I had to graduate from cybertots.  Here are a few pics from my graduation ceremony.

Pick of the day

Standard

What better way to spend a sunny Saturday – we visited Crockfords farm and picked lots of fresh berries and vegetables.  Crockfords farm is not your usual animal farm, it’s more of a garden centre but it has fields of fresh fruit and vegetables. In the summer you can visit and pick your own. Mummy and I visited the farm with Ophelia,  Summer and my friend Zahra.

I think Ophelia ate her way through the berries – strawberries are her favourite!  I had so much fun rummaging through the strawberry bushes finding the bright red juicey ones. I filled my bucket in no time and so we quickly moved on to find some Raspberries.  Ophelia also loves these and spent more time eating them, then picking them.  Every time I put one in she got one out!

After we picked as much fruit as we could carry we headed to the play ground. There was this really cool swing handing from a tree. One day I hope we have a big yard with a tree and daddy can build me a swing just like this one.

What is your favourite fruit?

The Secret Garden

Image

The weather has been wet, windy and not very Summery at all. So I thought I would look back on some pictures of a really nice day we had back April. It felt more like spring than it does at the moment.

My friend Ellia showed me a secret garden in Richmond park. Mummy and I had never been there before and it was fantastic, so beautiful! All the different flowers and plants made the garden look so colourful and vibrant. My favourites were the bluebells… See for yourself, mummy got some really nice pics of the three of us.

What is your favourite flower?
