I have been fairly quiet on the blog these days, but I can assure you it isn’t because life is getting dull. In fact Mummy and I have been busier than ever. We thought it was busy when we had friends and family staying with us, but mummy has stepped up the activities and since we bought a car she can take me to more things in less time. I do miss sitting up front with Mummy and Daddy in the van but other than that I am loving our new wheels.
So what have I been doing? Swimming each week again, and last week I went twice so I could show off to Daddy. He was so proud of me, he couldn’t believe how well I swim without any floaties and how I just kick my way to the edge. Mummy has also started to go swimming but she swims a lot further than I do. Whilst she is doing that, I go into the crèche, there are so many toys and new things that I don’t mind playing in there for an hour whilst she gets some exercise – she definitely could do with it, her belly is getting big!
Twisters – baby Gym has been really fun as we are practising our jumping skills. I jump from really high places and land with both feet and arms straight up in the air like a gymnastics professional. I think Kiki would be proud of me!
It’s party season this month for the local Chiswick babies. Nearly every weekend for the next 4 weeks I have a party. Ellia kicked it off with a great start – I love fancy dress parties. Then it was my party of course which was a cracking good day! Let’s be honest I know how to throw a good party and my parents were not shy on the London party scene pre-Harlow so their input is always appreciated. Last weekend was Henry’s party which was another brilliant day. We went to Sinbad’s in Wimbledon which is a pirate themed softplay café. I wore my daddy out, I was dragging him all over the place, climbing up and down all the different obstacles and going down the slide over and over again. Needless to say I slept well that night.
We tried out an Arts and Crafts day at the local Sure start centre on the other side of Chiswick (benefits of that car). I met up with my friends and that days lesson was all about gluing little colourful bits of paper on a butterfly. I created a lovely little piece that I am sure mummy will put up on display in the house somewhere.
Today was the most fun as we visited the Hounslow Urban Farm again. I love this place as I get up close and personal with all the animals. This time it wasn’t as scary (even mummy was less scared of the snakes this time) probably because I am two now – a big girl. Ellia and William were there and we saw Snakes, Tarantula’s, a very noisy Turkey, Goats, Cows, Reindeer and my favourite were the pig races – my pig ‘Chops’ won! Last time I was a little scared of the hungry goats but this time I hand fed them one pellet at a time. There were three different snakes, and I thought it would be nice to wear one as a necklace.
My final little news is that it’s only ten weeks till my little sister arrives. I am really looking forward to meeting her and I think she is excited to meet me too. She has been giving me a few high fives from inside mummy’s belly.
How has your week been?
